Wildcraft Ceremonial Cacao

from $35.00

Stone ground organic, single origin & ethically sourced Peruvian Criollo Cacao Beans, made in Tasmania in small batches.

The heirloom Theobroma Cacao trees grow bio-dynamically within their native environment in Peru. The Cacao Pods are traditionally and sustainably harvested, before the beans are fermented and sun-dried, by a co-op of Indigenous Peruvian Cacao farmers. These premium-quality Cacao beans are then stone ground in Tasmania, to bring you a Ceremonial Cacao that is medicinally potent, nourishing & fresh and handcrafted with Love.

  • Rich, sweet, thick and creamy, this recipe has a beautiful caramel flavour due to the medjool date.

    Ingredients:

    • 20 grams (2 heaped tablespoons) chopped Ceremonial Cacao

    • 200ml plant based milk (I love Pureharvest coconut & almond milk)

    • 1 pitted medjool date

    • a pinch of salt (use Himalayan or Celtic sea salt for added minerals!)

Heat milk on the stovetop, and then add all ingredients into a blender. Whizz to combine for a few seconds. If needed, re-heat again on stovetop.

Pour into your favourite mug ~ sit back, set your intention for the day & enjoy!

PS. Be sure to use a heat safe blender for this recipe.

  • Made by Wild Craft Tasmania.

Along the journey, from seed, to bean, to cup; Wild Craft honour the tradition and craftsmanship that goes into every step:

    • Naturally Grown: The cacao beans are cultivated in harmony with nature, respecting the inherent balance of the ecosystem. The beans are grown organically and bio-dynamically within their native environment in the pristine Amazon Region of Tarapoto, in the San Martin Province of northern Peru.

    • Traditionally Harvested: Hand-harvested by skilled and trained farmers, within a safe, natural environment. Sourcing only fair trade certified Cacao Beans.

    • Fermentation: The beans undergo a fermentation process
which takes up to a week. During this time, the beans flavour and colour develops, evolving from a white/pink, pulpy and 'sour' tasting bean, to a dark purple/brown, rich and flavorsome bean, which holds the familiar 'chocolate' characteristics of Cacao.

    • Sun Dried: Basking under the gentle rays of the sun, our Cacao Beans are dried to perfection, preserving their nutritional and medicinal potency. The husk dries and forms around the Cacao Bean.

    • Craftsmanship: Each bean is cracked and winnowed to remove the husk, and meticulously inspected before processing, to ensure only the finest quality beans are made into your block of Ceremonial Cacao.

    • Stone Grinding: Slowly stone ground in a solar-powered cacao studio in Tasmania, the cacao beans are transformed into a velvety smooth consistency, unlocking their full flavor potential. Every bean is handcrafted with Love, and Intention.

    • Setting: After 24+ hours, the Ceremonial Cacao is ready to be poured and set overnight. Your Cacao is still alive ~ the 'Cacao Bloom' that develops in this time is your Cacao's own unique fingerprint.

    • Eco-Conscious Packaging: Packed with care in 100% biodegradable materials.

  • Unfortunately we cannot accept returns on any food items.

  • Postage is available to Australia & New Zealand and set at a $12.50 flat rate for standard postage, and $16 for express via Australia Post.
